Windy Iris

The collage strips came about because I often cut up large sheets of paper into these long strips. I used them on cards as a way of layering the focal point off the background. I also laid them vertically and horizontally in my art journal to add visual interest and I even used them instead of washi tape in my planner. However, I didn’t like cutting up my large papers and having so many strips with the same design. I wanted to design sheets that had lots of different patterns on one page and to have the strips sized ready to cut, almost like a page of mock washi tape. I find that the strips are a really useful element to have on hand and I keep a bag of them, cut out and ready to go on my desk.
