NOVELA BLANK
This project was commissioned by Giant Mountain Publishing and I was asked to design a bold cover image and a series of small black and white motifs to go inside the book. Novela Blank is a notebook with off-white pages, much like you'd find in a novel and the idea behind it was to create a novel-like notebook with blank pages so people could write their own stories inside (its also nice for sketching). I chose a fluid design for the cover, with a circle at its centre so that the design would spread out across the back and front cover. As the artwork was created digitally I could play around with different color schemes, we ultimately went with these warm reds, yellows and browns.
